HUGHES PROPERTY
At 163 total acres, a bike park would only need a portion of the property.

The former Hughes Stadium property is a fantastic location for a multi-use space that includes a bike park fit for our community for several reasons.

1. It is well connected to the low stress bicycle network as well as existing soft-surface trails. It is also nearby the planned West Elizabeth Transit extension, making it highly accessible for all members of the community to enjoy.

2. It offers a variety of topography, including the necessary elevation change for a successful bike park. The natural features can be used within the design to deliver the high-quality experience that community members expect.

3. It has already been acquired by the city and designated for parks and other uses compatible with its Public Open Lands designation.
4. At approximately 163 acres, it is a large parcel that can be thoughtfully utilized for many complementary community needs, including a bike park and trail connections, as well as leaving a great portion of it as open space, and more.

We are open to exploring alternate locations if they are truly suitable for a community-scale bike park that addresses the needs of Fort Collins.
We have a large population of diverse riders that expect a high-quality park that meets our city's scale of interest.

Adequate acreage, diverse topography, and specifically elevation change, are key to creating a community amenity that will be used and cherished.

Any other locations would also need to be easily accessible by bike and transit.
